IGNITION IGNITION TESTS3.5 Ohmmeter Test IMPORTANT: All ohmmeter tests must be made with engine NOT runningCalibrate an ohmmeter on appropriate scaleConnect meter leads between stop button lead terminal and clean engine groundlead terminal, and clean engine ground Crank engine and observe meter at each connection
Results:
Any reading indicates charge coil or leads are grounded Locate and repair ground, or replace charge coilIf no reading is indicated, go to Output Test

Results:
The meter must show high readingMomentarily press inward on the stop button The meter must show low readingTo avoid sudden loss of control, replace the stop button if your test results varyComplete all circuits disconnected during this test
