Follow this procedure to protect the outboard during its initial hours of operationCareful break-in allows internal engine components to seat properly, resulting in maximum engine life and performance
3.5 MODELS
First minutes of operationOperate the outboard in gear at fast idle ONLYFirst 12 of break-in fuel- Operate the outboard in gear, no faster than 12 throttleSecond 12 of break-in fuelOperate the outboard in gear at various speeds, including 30 second bursts at full throttle
CAUTION
Failure to carefully follow the break-in procedures can result in outboard damage
