Intake Manifold Servicing Removal
1Follow steps listed in Carburetor Removal, this section2Remove manifold screws and remove manifoldDisassembly
1Remove the two screws per leaf plate assembly, and remove the leaf plate assemblies as required
INote Do
not disassemble leaf plate assembliesLeaf plate assemblies are not serviced in detail
2When handling leaf plate assemblies, do not lift or bend leaf valvesInspection
1Inspect the leaf plate assemblies for damage:
rn The leaf valve tips must not be cracked or chipped The leaf stops must not be distorted or loose Test leaf plate screw tightnessIf loose, retighten screws using ONK:: Screw Lock to 25-35 in IbsNm)2Inspect the intake manifold: All gasket surfaces must be smooth and free of nicks
