Cleaning and Inspection
1Inspect spring for worn or broken end loops
2Inspect pawl retainer, retainer ring, and screw for wear or damage
3Inspect rope and discard if frayedReplace with rope cut to length of 52 in(132 cm)4Examine pulley and housing for sharp edges and rough surfaces that could fray ropeFile and polish to removeAssembly
1Lubricate spring, spring cavity and shoulder screw with 0fv1C Tripe-Guard grease or Lubripate 777
2If spring was removed, insert spring into pulley so spring hook engages slot on pulley and wind spring into pulley as shown
