6Install the upper pinion bearing using OMC Pinion Bearing Installer, PIN 31987838 -16 6112 in boltand wide washer Assemble the tools with lettered side of the bearing facing the installerDraw the upper pinion bearing into the gearcase until tool contacts gearcaseDisassemble tool components Assemble the tools with the lower pinion bearing facing installer toolDraw the lower pinion bearing into the gearcase until tool contacts gearcase[1J
7 If removed, position new forward bearing race in the gearcaseUsing OMC Bearing Cup Installer, PIN 326025, and mallet, drive the bearing race into its bore until it is seated
