24Install the lower bearing retaining ring with BEVELED EDGE OUTThe gap of retaining ring must be centered around the oil hole in the front of the crankcase
25Apply ONIC Gasket Sealing Compound to the outside diameter of new lower crankshaft seal Install the seal with lip facing down toward gearcase, until seal bottoms on the retaining ring
26Check for binding between the crankshaft and the bearings or connecting rods by rotating the crankshaft with the flywheel
