24 14Oil the crankshaft and install it carefully in cylinder block to avoid disturbing needle bearingsBe certain to align upper main bearing dowel with crankcase recess25 15Move the pistons up so that the connecting rod bearings are against the crankpinPlace one bearing half between crankpin and rod and one on top of crankpinOrient and place the connecting rod cap on the needle bearingsOil threads of the rod cap screwsInstall and tighten the screws in stages to final torque of 60-70 inIbs(7-7,5 Nm)16Place remainder of the 30 needles on center journal of the crankshaftPlace bearing liner on needles aligning dovetails

17Thoroughly, clean and degrease the crankcase mating flange of the cylinder block with OIVIC Cleaning Solvent and let air dry18Apply OIVIC Locquic Primer to the mating flange of the crankcase and let air dry
2S 19Apply OIVIC Gel-Seal II sealant to the cylinder block flange The application must cover the flange evenly and consistently without being excessiveThe application must not come within 114 in(6,4 mm) of the labyrinth seals or bearings NoteOIVIC Gel-Seal II sealant has shelf life of at least one year when stored at room temperatureTest the avIC Gel-Seal II sealant or replace it if the age of the tube cannot be determinedUsing old avIC Gel-Seal I sealant could cause crankcase air leaks
