Ignition Coil ReplacementCD II Removal 1Twist and remove cover to remove the spark plug lead and primary leads from the ignition coil2Notice the fastener and washer orientation before removing any screws3Remove the coil mounting screws and remove the coil and washersInstallation
1Assemble the correct sequence of washers and locate the ignition coil on the powerheadInstall and tighten the retaining screws to torque of 48-96 inIbs(5,4-10,8 Nm)
2Apply light coating of OMC Electrical Grease to the ribbed portion of the spark plug ceramics and to the openings of each of the spark plug lead coversInstall the spark plug leads3Apply light coating of OMC Electrical Grease to the opening of each primary lead cover and install the coversObserve the proper wire routing and ignition timingThe orangeblue primary lead must be connected to the No.1 ignition coilDR3630
