Ignition Plate ServicingCD II Removal
1To avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing, twist and remove all spark plug leads2Remove the manual starterSee Section 73Remove the flywheelRefer to Flywheel Servicing
ITJ 4Loosen the five screws attaching the ignition plate to the
retainer plateLift the ignition plate from the powerhead
rn support plates from support plate screws Lift the retainer 5Remove the four and the powerheadInstallation
rn 1Place Alignretainer plate, then the four screw holes the the support plate on powerheadsupport plate with in
powerheadApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of the four support plate screws Install and tighten the screws to torque of 48-60 inIbs(5-7 Nm)2Apply OMC Moly Lube to crankcase boss
