3 5a Inch Motor Servicing Disassembly
Before servicing any electrical parts, disconnect the battery cables from battery1Remove propeller
and drive pin from armature shaft
2Mark lines across front and rear parting lines of motor for reference during reassembly3While holding motor firmly, remove thru-bolts 4Remove end capcenter section all O-rings49568
and armature
Discard
5Pry seals from end cap if worn or damaged6Remove screwsdisconnect wires and remove brush plate 0)Remove brushes Q) and springs
Reassembly
Reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly, with special attention to these steps1Install new O-rings, lightly coated with OMC Triple-Guard grease
