Suspect damaged steering drive sleeve drive collar

CAuto Steering Will Not Operate
Perform compass board isolation test using Isolation Board, PI 5000005Follow instructions below
DErratic Auto Steering OperationStep 1Direction changes with change in speedaSlight changes are normalIf changes exceed 4_ 5, perform magnetic adjustment procedureSee Section 9Step 2Check all control board to compass board connectionsStep 3Verify motor shaft is within of vertical while in normal operating positionStep 4Check for excess vibrationaFouled or damaged propellerbBent propeller shaftStep 5Perform compass board isolation test as outlined below
Compass Board Isolation Procedure Step 1Disconnect the wires from the control board and attach to the appropriate terminals of the test board Step 2Turn switch to position and turn auto steering switch onWait secondsStep 3Move switch to position 1, then to position 2Steering motor should pulse in both directions Replace speed control board in bow mount if steering motor doesn't operate in either direction Step 4Turn auto steering switch offMove switch to position and turn auto steering switch onStep 5Move switch to position 1, then to position 2Steering motor should pulse in both directions If operation is restored with isolation board, replace compass board If it fails to operate, replace speed control board
