Assembly
1To replace the latch release rope, cut new rope 44 in(112 cm) longHeat ends of rope to prevent fraying2Tie knot in one end of the rope and thread the rope through the handle, bow arm, and latch
3Tie an overhand knot, and secure the knot with tie strap
4If the latch plates have been removed, install as follows: Position the latch plate on the deck bracketThe latch plate must be square on the bracket and perpendicular to the latchApply OMC Nut Lock to the retaining screwTorque nut to 60-80 inIbs(6,8-9,0 Nm)
5Place the cable drum in the bow arm with cable grooves offset to starboard side6Position the bow arm in the deck bracket
7Install one washer between the bow arm and deck bracket on the starboard side8Align the deck bracket, bow arm, cable drum, and washerApply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the pivot pinUsing press, install pivot pin from port to starboard making sure groove in pin is under set screw hole9Apply OMC Screw Lockto the set screw and installTorque set screw to 40-60 inIbs(4,5-6,8 Nm)10Position the motor tube bracket in the bow armThe hinge pin must be on the port side of the bow arm
