Steering Cable AdjustmentExcept HBF2 Adjust steering control cable as follows:
1Start with the adjustment nut approximately in the center of the threads2Rotate the motor tube fully TO PORT (counterclockwise 180)
3Hold the heel end of the foot control down against the base

5Check cable adjustmentPush heel end of foot control until pedal contacts baseMotor should turn about 180 counterclockwise (TO PORT) from straight-ahead position, to face aft as shownPush toe end of foot control until pedal contacts baseMotor should turn about 180 clockwise (TO STARBOARD)Motor should have EQUAL TRAVEL TO PORT and TO STARBOARD6If necessary to equalize travel to port and starboard, the cable can be adjusted by turning the adjustment nut as shown7Turn motor to straight-ahead positionWires must exit the motor tube on the port side of the direction indicator driver as shown in the wiring diagrams in this section, and be connected to terminals with the motor in this positionI
