Resistor AssemblyExcept HBF2 Models Only perform this check after completing Motor Tube Wiring checks INote To avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equipment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding1Turn the speed control switch to OFF

Remove the motor from the adapter housingDo not disconnect the motor leads at this time
Use an ohmmeter calibrated on low ohms scale to test the condition of the resistor
Connect the ohmmeter between the RED and the GREEN resistor terminals: The meter should show 0.17 -0.23 ohm If measured resistance is significantly different AND motor does not respond to speed control change, replace resistor
Connect the ohmmeter between the GREEN and GREENI WHITE resistor terminals: The meter should show 0.36-0.44 ohm resistance If measured resistance is significantly different AND motor does not respond to speed control change, re place resistor6If measured resistance is significantly different AND motor does not respond to speed control change, replace resistor assembly7Refer to Section for assembly information
