INote To avoid damaging components or troubleshooting equipment, disconnect the battery cables before proceeding1Turn the speed control switch OFF
2Use an ohmmeter calibrated on low ohms scale to test the condition of the resistors and motor tube wiring

3Connect the ohmmeter between the RED 14-Gaand GREEN 18-Galeads:

The meter should show 0.4-0.5 ohm If measured resistance is significantly different AND motor does not respond to speed control change, refer to Resistor AssemblyHBF2 Models in this section
rn 4Connect18-Galeads: between the GREEN 18-Gaand the ohmmeter GREENWHITE
The meter should show 0.5-0.6 ohm33070

If measured resistance is significantly different AND motor does not respond to speed control change, refer to Resistor AssemblyHBF2 Models in this section[] 5Connect the ohmmeter between the motor tube and alternately to RED 14-Ga GREEN 18-Ga and GREENWHITE 18-Gawires: The meter must show no continuity If the meter shows continuity, inspect the motor tube wiring for grounded condition6Refer to Resistor AssemblyHBF2 Models in this section if your test results are different
