39Using 0fv'IC Trim Cylinder End Cap Remover, PI 324958, and breaker bar, remove both of the trim cylinder end caps
40Remove the outside seals from the trim cylinder end caps There is an O-ring and back-up ringone of two different designsNewer nylon seals will be continuous ring of nylon Older seals are split41Using smooth flat tool, remove the scraper from the trim end capPry the scraper out of the groove in the end cap Discard the scraper42Using the same smooth flat tool, remove the O-ring from the end caps Discard the O-rings Clean both end caps and scrape all corrosion or loose paint from the threads in the outside O-ring areaare two different types of seals in the trim end caps The one pictured on the left is an O-ring The one pictured on the right is quad-ring The quad-ring is used for service
