24Remove the pin and spring 1221 1231

25Pry the shaft out of the detent plateBe sure to retain the detent ball and components underneath
26Remove the ball, shoe, springs, nut, and screw from the detent plate
Cleaning and Inspection
1Clean disassembled mechanical parts in solventInspect them and replace any that are worn or damaged2DO NOT clean electrical components in solventCheck continuity of wiring and electrical parts with test light or an ohmmeterReplace any component that does not test OK
Assembly
Failure to follow assembly instructions closely could result in remote control malfunction, causing sudden and unexpected loss of throttle or shift control
