Remote ControlInstallation
1Check that remote control operates freely, warm-up function returns freely, and equal friction is felt in forward and reverse travel of control handleAny binding could cause remote control to jam when cables are attached to the engine2Install the remote control in the boat and reconnect the neutral start switch and trim leads3Follow Steps thru of Trim Switch ReplacementInstallation and install the remote control handleAdjustments

FrictionIncrease throttle friction to eliminate "throttle creep" during operationRemove the mounting plate coverUse screwdriver to turn the friction screw clockwiseDecrease the friction by turning the friction screw counterclockwiseFORWARD, NEUTRAL, and REVERSE detent tensionTurn adjusting screw clockwise to increase detent tension and counterclockwise to decrease the tensionMove handle to FORWARD shift detent, then back to NEUTRAL detentReadjust until desired tension is achievedReinstall mounting plate coverReconnect battery cablesOperate the trim switchMake sure the direction of gearcase movement corresponds to UP and DOWN movement of the switch
