Trim Switch ReplacementRemoval
1Disconnect battery cables at the battery before servicing electrical systems, or risk injury from:
burns or fire caused by shorted positive battery cable contact with moving parts if the engine is accidentally cranked or started
2Cut tie strap securing trim switch leads to remote control bodyDisconnect the trim switch leads from the trim cable connector
rn 3Remove the rubber boot from the warm-up knobRemove retaining screw and knob4Move control handle to full-throttle REVERSE[] 5Insert Va inhex wrench into the opening on the bottom of the control handleLoosen the set screw that retains the handle on the shaftRemove the control handle and pull trim switch wires out of mounting plate
