Cleaning and Inspection
1Inspect flange bosses in the shift lockout camIf there is any sign of rounding of the edges, replace the cam idle lever if the slots are worn
lITI 2Inspect slots in the fast idle lever for wearReplace the fast
3Clean disassembled mechanical parts in solventInspect them and replace any that are worn or damaged 4DO NOT clean electrical components in solventCheck continuity of wiring and electrical parts with test light or an ohmmeterReplace any component that does not test OKAssembly
Failure to follow assembly instructions closely could result in remote control malfunction, causing sudden and unexpected loss of throttle or shift control
INote Lubricate
friction points on mechanical parts with OMC Moly Lube grease1To reassemble control handle: Place control handle knob on control handle and secure with screwTorque screw to 20-30 inIbs(2,3-3,4 Nm) Position trimtilt switch in control handle coverSecure with screw Secure control handle cover to control handle with three screws
