Stator Resistance Tests
INotel Disconnect the battery cables before proceeding with this check
1Separate the stator yellow and yellowgray lead's connector
2Calibrate an ohmmeter on the appropriate scaleConnect one meter lead to the stator yellow lead and the other meter lead to the stator yellowgray lead 12 Amp resistance0.450.54 ohms Repair or replace the stator if your results vary
3Test for grounded conditiondisconnect both meter leadsCalibrate the ohmmeter on the proper scaleConnect one meter lead to clean engine ground and the other meter lead alternately to both stator leads Ohmmeter should show high reading
