Electrical Cable
Disconnect battery cables from battery before servIcing electrical systemsFailure to do so could result in injury from ignition sources (sparks) or from contact with moving parts if accidental cranking or starting occursProvide sufficient slack at motor end to permit steering and tilting of motor without binding cables
1Route instrument harness into lower engine coverPosition harness so it will not interfere with the upper engine cover when installedRoute harness to position where the connectors can be attached at the junction box
2Install protective plug (supplied with engine) on power trim tilt 3-pin connector on non-trim models
3Before installing connections, check that the seal is in placeClean off any dirt from connectorsApply light coat of OIVIC Electrical Grease to the sealPush connectors together until latched
