Throttle Plate Synchronization 1Remove the air silencer W [[]

2Use 564 inball-hex driver to turn the cam follower adjustment screw counterclockwise until the cam and cam follower are NOT touching
rn 3Loosen the two carburetor link screws4Verify that all throttle plates are completely closed

5Apply light upward pressure to carburetor link tabs and tighten the carburetor link screwsIdle Timing

The boat and engine must be in the water under normal operating conditions with the correct propeller installedThe boat's movement must be unrestrainedThe boat must not be tied to dock or trailerAllow engine to reach normal operating temperature before making this adjustment1Separate the temperature switch whiteblack lead connectorUse jumper to connect the ignition module side of the lead to clean engine groundThis will disable the QuikStart's cold-start feature, preventing an inaccurate timing reading 2Connect the spark plug leads3Attach timing light to the No.1 cylinder spark plug leadStart the engineWait at least 10 seconds for QuikStartto return the timing to normalMake sure the throttle arm is against its stopThe engine timing pointer must align with correct degree mark on the flywheel grid
