Trim Rod Installation [] 1Lubricate the trim rod pistonsPlace the rod assemblies into the bodyPush them completly downFill the cylinders with CIVIC Power TrimlTiltSteering FluidFailure to fill the cylinders could cause difficulty in purging air from the unit[] 2Screw the trim rod end caps into the cylinder body, using the CIVIC Trim Cylinder End Cap Removerl lnstaller, PI 436710, or CIVIC Universal Spanner Wrench, PI 912084Torque caps to 60-70 ftIbs(81-95 Nm)
Tilt Piston Installation

1Install new O-ring and plastic split ring on free piston, then lubricate assemblyPush free piston into cylinder bore flat side down2Lubricate the tilt ram pistonSlide the end cap all the way up on the rod assemblyPlace the piston end ofthe ram assembly into the cylinder bodyPush it in until the end cap just clears the cylinder topLeave enough room to pour fluid into the cylinderFill the cylinder with CIVIC Power TrimlTiltSteering FluidFailure to fill the cylinder could cause difficulty purging air from the unit
