8Clean any thread-locking material from the threads on the inside of the nutSpray threads of nut with CIVIC Locquic Primer and let dryApply small amount of CIVIC Nut Lock to threads of nutSlide the washer over the threads and install the nut; torque to 58-87 ftIbs(79-118 Nm)9To assure that the tilt piston has been properly assembled and the impact relief balls are properly seated, apply trim and tilt fluid on top of the tilt pistonFluid should not leak past the impact relief balls while seated If fluid does leak, disassemble the piston assembly and inspect the relief ball seatsSet the tilt rod assemblyaside
Remove Trim Rods
1Unscrew trim cylinder end caps using CIVIC Trim Cylinder End Cap Removerl lnstaller, PI 436710, or CIVIC Universal Span ner Wrench, PI 912084, and breaker barYou will have to use smaller pins in spanner wrench, PI 912084
