Power TrimTilt Servicing
Removal
1Tilt outboard to full tilt position, then engage tilt lock lever Install holding strap or rope around the gearcase
to make certain that the outboard will not accidentally drop
2Remove the external snap rings from the upper pinUse punch to remove the upper pinRetract the tilt cylinder rod48159
Disconnect battery cables at battery to prevent accidental starting3Remove nutthen remove blue wire from terminalRemove nutthen remove green wire from terminal
4Open clamp and pull the wires and sleeve from the grommet in the lower engine coverPull wires and sleeve through the hole on the transom bracket5Remove nut from thrust rod, then remove thrust rod from stern bracketsMark hole location so the thrust rod will be returned to the same location during reassembly
