Motor Service _ Disassembly 1Remove motor from power trim assembly
[]] 2Remove screw

from wire retainerRemove tape from power trim wires, and pull back protective sleeve
[]] 3Slide wire retainer up wiresScribe mark on housing and brush plate for reference on reassembly
[]] 4Turn motor overRemove two screws securing brush plate to housing Pull housing up, sliding wires through
housing openingDisconnect wires from brush plate Armature Inspection

[]] 1Check commutator surface If dirty, clean with eme ry cloth and cleaning solvent[]] 2Check commutator outside diameter specsStandard: Service Limit: 0.870 in(22,2 mm) 0.830 in(21,0 mm)
