Shift Rod Assembly
1Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to the two -ringsone a-ringand seal (])Install a-rings on shift rod guide
2Install seal (]), washerand shift rod guide and O-rings in shift rod cover G:Q)Apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to cover O-ring (DJ and installFrom the top, carefully insert shift rod Install washer G]) and shift rod pin (H)
3Install shift rod spring G:ID and collar onto shift rod and secure with retaining ring Gll
4Align shift rod with shift rod cam (lID as shown in Figure 2Install shift rod cam (lID and pinClip magnet on shift rod with magnet facing rear
5Install detent plate spring and ball in gearcaseInstall shift rod assembly into gearcase with shift cam groove facing rearMove shift rod cam into NEUTRAL position
