Oil Pressure Switch Test 1Remove oil pressure switch from engine
2Attach Stevens Pressure Tester, or gauge and air pump, to the switchConnect an ohmmeter to the switch terminal and to the switch bodyApply air pressure to switch If pressure is less than 10-19 PSI (70-130 kPa), meter should show continuity If pressure is equal to or over 10-19 PSI (70-130 kPa), meter should show no continuity

3To install, coat threads with an oil resistant sealer and tighten to 9.5 ftIbs(13 Nm)

Before removing starter, disconnect battery cables at battery1Take off air silencer coverRemove flywheel cover, then remove flywheel2Disconnect negative (-) and positive (+) cables at starter motor3Remove band clamp holding starterTake out two bolts mounting starter, then remove starter from its mounting bracketDisassembly
