Main Power Relay Resistance Tests
The 20 amp main power relay is always connected to the electrical system as follows:=
Key Switch, small gray wire
B+12 Volt (+) Solenoid, white wire
12 Volt (-) ECU (Ground), pinkblack wire
= Load12 Volt, large gray wire
INote To avoid immediate meter damage, never apply an ohmmeter to an electrical circuit where voltage is presentTo protect your test light or meter, remove relay from socket before proceeding with test1Use Fluke Model 29 meter or equivalent calibrated on ohms scale, or continuity light, to test continuity[] 2Connect meter leads to relay terminals B+ and The meter must show no continuityORC7334
3Calibrate meter ohms scale and connect the leads to the B- and terminals The meter must show 80-120 ohms
