Ignition Coil and Lead Replacement Coil Removal 1Squeeze tab of primary wire connector, and pull connector off coilPull spark plug leads off plugs[] 2Using 10 mm socket, remove mounting screws and take coil off cylinder head [[] INote Top screw of upper coil holds metal bracket that
acts as connector protector and wire harness guideRemember to reinstall it in this positionHigh Tension Lead Removal

With small tool, carefully disengage the prongs of the lead retainersthen pull leads out of coilMake note of which tower the leads were attached to (tower in toward head, or out away from head) so leads aren't switched during installationRemove wire separator if presentNote There's small a-ring around each lead in front of the plastic retainerIt seals the passage into the coilMake sure it's properly in place when each lead is reinstalledHigh Tension Lead Installation 1Lubricate leads with OMC Silicone Spray to make installation easierSlide 3-pronged retainers in(51 mml or more down leadsSlide a-ring down against retainer2Push leads into coil until they seat (approximately in(51 mm)Make sure leads are going into their proper towerSlide a-ring and retainer up leads and snap retainers onto coilUpper coil: inner lead to plug No 2; outer lead to plug No 3Lower coil: inner lead to plug No.1; outer lead to plug No.4Coil Installation
