Storage Use the following procedure to properly prepare Evinrude 4Stroke outboards for extended periods of non-useThese steps are intended to protect the engine during storage and simplify the preseason servicing procedure1Stabilize the engine's fuel supply with avIC 2+ fuel conditioner, following directions on the bottle
& When using flushing attachment, always remove engine's
propeller before starting engine to prevent accidental contact with moving propeller
INote Use flushing attachment if you operate the engine on a
trailer or dolly to prevent engine or water pump damage2In shop V6 six-gallon gas tank, prepare an engine "storage mixture" consisting of:

Five gallons of fuel Two quarts of avIC Storage Fogging Oil 2112 ozof avIC 2+ fuel conditioner 3Connect the tank containing the "storage mixture" to the engineRun the engine at approximately 1500 RPM for ten minutes to ensure that the entire fuel supply system is full of stabilized fuel4Stop the engine and drain the crankcase while the oil is warmRefill it with new Evinrudel Johnson Ultra 4-Stroke Crankcase OilReplace the oil filter
