[] 8Position oil pump to match the slot in the shaft with the pin in the cam [[] 9Apply CIVIC Gasket Sealing Compound to the oil pump housi ng gasket nd to the th reads of the screwsPosition cover on pump housing and torque screws to 84-106 inIbs(10-12 Nm)[] 10If removed, apply CIVIC Gel-Seal II to the threads of the overboard water indicator nipple and torque to 20-25 inIbs(2,3-2,8 Nm) 11 Apply CIVIC Gasket Sealing Compound to casing of new camshaft seal, and oil to the seal lips12Remove key from camshaft and place seal, casing up, on cam 38437
INote When
starting seal over the cam, be sure the lips fit properly and the seal is square in the bore
