Driveshaft Bearing Housing Service The driveshaft bearing is not serviceableReplace the bearing housing if the bearing is worn or damagedAlso, inspect the driveshaft bearing surface if the bearing is damaged 1Remove the driveshaft bearing housing seal using CIVIC Puller Bridge, PI 432127, and CIVIC Large Puller Jaws, PI 432129Discard the seal
2Remove the a-ring from the bearing housing and discard3Clean the bearing housing in solvent to remove sealer from the seal bore and the -ring groove
4Install new seals back to back in bearing housing using OMC Seal Installer, PIN 330268Apply CIVIC Gasket Sealing Compoundto metal casings of the seals before installingInstall inner seal with flush lip facing toward bearing housing, then the outer seal with extended lip facing away from bearing housingApply OMC Triple -Guard grease to the seal lips5Lightly apply OMC Triple-Guard grease to new a-ringInstall the a-ring in top groove of the bearing housing
