Gearcase ServicingV6 Removal
1Avoid accidental starting of engineTwist and remove all spark plug leads before beginning serviceDisconnect battery cables at the battery2Rotate the propeller shaft and shift the gearcase to REVERSE positionRemove the shift rod screw

3Note where the index mark on the gearcase aligns with the index number of the adjustable trim tab so that the trim tab can be reinstalled in the same position Remove the screw and the trim tab

4Using 5S inthin wall socket, remove the screw he lock washer5Using 916 insocket, remove screw
