Stator Resistance Tests
INote Disconnect battery cables before proceeding with this test
1Disconnect stator 40-volt yellowblue, yellow, and yellow gray stripe wires from rectifierregulator port sideStator 40-volt wires are the shorter length wires2Connect one meter lead to stator wire and the other meter lead to another wire
3Alternate meter leads to test all combinations of stator wires[] 4To check for grounded condition, connect one meter lead to ground wire and alternately connect the other meter lead to each stator 40-volt wires Meter should read no continuity If meter reads continuity, the stator is grounded5Repeat Steps thru for stator 12-volt (longer length) yellow blue, yellow, and yellowgray stripe wiresStator 12-volt wires connect to rectifierregulator starboard side
