RectifierRegulator Servicing Removal
INote Disconnect battery cables at battery
1Remove the flywheelas described in Section 62Remove the rectifierregulator covers
proceeding
[] 3Disconnect all wires from stator and engine harness to the rectifier reg lator
4Loosen and remove the four retaining screws and the rectifierregulatorRemove and discard the O-ring
Installation
1Install new O-ring and position it on rectifierregulator2Position the rectifierregulator on the flangeInstall the four rectifierregulator screws and tighten to 96-120 in Ibs(11 -14 Nm) 3Attach all rectifierregulator leads from the stator and engine harness4Install the rectifierregulator covers5Install the flywheel, as described in Section 66Reconnect battery cablesTest operation as described in this section 49173
