[] 11If removed, install the spring and spacer (large diameter up) on the pinion shaftSecure with retaining ringInstall bushing and wave washer (convex side down)
12Lightly coat the pinion shaft splines with OIVIC Starter Pinion Lube, PI 337016Lower the pinion assembly into place without displacing the driven gear or thrust washer13Lightly coat the pinion housing bearing with OIVIC Starter Pinion Lube, and install the pinion housing screws and lock washersTorque the screws to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
14Install the bracket as shownApply OIVIC Nut Lock to the thru-boltsInstall the nuts and torque to 50-65 inIbs(5,6-7,3 Nm)15To test the assembly and operation of the starter, refer to No Load Current Draw, Electric Starter testInstallation 1Apply OIVIC Locquic Primer and OMC Nut Lockto the threads of the four mounting screwsPosition starter and install the mounting screws and lock washers
