Assembly 1Using new gaskets, remove protective paper from the gasketPlace the gasket in the intake manifold with tacky side of the gasket against the manifold2Position the leaf plate assemblies on the intake manifold []
3Remove old adhesive from threads of the leaf plate assembly retaining screwsPrime threads with CIVIC Locquic Primer and let dryApply CIVIC Nut Lock to threadsInstall the screws and tighten to torque of 25-35 inIbs(3-4 Nm)Installation 1Install new intake manifold gaskets dryUse no sealer2Upper intake manifold must be installed firstEngage throttle cam with throttle position sensor and install throttle cam washer and screw on manifold as you install manifoldInstall recirculat ion hoses and secure with tie straps
3Apply Permatex No.2 to threads of all intake manifold screws that protrude into the crankcase cavityTorque the mani fold retaining screws to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm) and torque the throttle cam screw to 144-168 inIbs(16-19 Nm) 4Install vapor separator hose and install bracket with lift pumpInstall new locknuts and tighten to 60-80 in Ibs(7-9 Nm) 5Install new throttle body gaskets dryInstall throttle bodies and secure with nuts and screwsTighten in an "X" pattern to 120-144 inIbs(14-16 Nm)
