Timing Pointer Verification 1Remove all spark plugs
2Center the timing pointer Rotate the flywheel in clockwise direction until the cast-in TOC mark is approximately 112 in(4 cm) past the timing pointer3Install OMC Piston Stop, PI 342679, into No.1 cylinder spark plug hole
4While holding the flywheel firmly against the tool, mark the flywheel directly across from the pointerConsider this mark II A"5Continue to turn the flywheel in clockwise direction until piston contact is fert again Mark this exact spot on the flywheel and consider this mark "8" 8ack off flywheel slightly counterclockwise to release the tool and remove it from the spark plug hole
