Lubrication Recommendations-Gearcase
Avoid accidental starting of engine while servicing; twist and remove all spark plug leadsLubricant: After first 20 operating hoursdrain and refill Every 50 operating hourscheck its level and condition At least once each season or every 100 operating hou rs drain and refill
To drainRemove oil drainfill plug and oil level plug from gearcaseWith engine in normal operating position, allow gearcase to drain completelyTo fillPlace tube or pressure can nozzle of OMC Ultra -HPF gearcase lubricant in drainfill hole
INote If OMC Ultra-HPF gearcase lubricant is not available, OMC
Hi-Vis gearcase lubricant can be used as an alternative With engine in normal operating position, fill until lubricant appears at oil level hole Install oil level plug before removing lubricant tube or pressure can nozzle from oil drainfill holeDrainfill plug can then be installed securely without oil loss Tighten both plugs to torque of 84-86 inIbs(9-10 Nm)Steering System
