11If removed, install new forward gear bearingApply OMC Needle Bearing Assembly Grease to 25 new rollersInstall the rollers in the bearing

12Using OMC Bearing Installer, PI 339778, install the bearing, lettered side facing tool13Install the thrust bearing on the forward gear14Place the bearing housing on the forward gear

15Install 0.030 inof shims and the thrust bearing in the flange, and install on the forward gear16Install set screws and torque to 144-168 inIbs(16-19 Nm)Use no thread sealant17Anchor dial indicator gauge to flat, level surface
