21Inspect the water screen for blockageRemove the water intake screens by removing screwsRemove both halves of the water intake screen from the gearcase [1ID
22Remove the pinion bearing only if it needs to be replacedBefore attempting removal, take out the bearing retain ing screwor you'll damage the gearcase
If the pinion bearing must be replaced, use OIVIC Bearing Remover and Installer, PIN 391257, and assemble it as follows:
Flange Nut, PI 326586 Q) Plate, PIN 391260 Rod, PIN 326582 CD Remover, PIN 326579
INote Make sure all loose needles are inside bearing case before
pulling bearingThe needles will provide surface fo the remover tool to pull against
