INote If upper driveshaft housing becomes separated from lower
driveshaft, use OMC Lower Driveshaft Puller, PI 342681, to removeInstall puller into lower driveshaft and turn 90 to position hook under pin in driveshaftThread OMC Slide Hammer, PI 391008, into puller and remove driveshaft[] 10Reach inside the gearcase and take out the pinion, nut, and any loose needle bearings that may have fallen into the gearcase11Push down on the shift rodThis will move the detent lever downward to clear the inside of the gearcase when the propeller shaft assembly is pulled out
