9Install locknut on pivot boltReplace the locknut if you do not feel definite resistance to tighteningTorque the locknut to 10-12 ftIbs(14-16 Nm)10Install new cotter pin in the bellcrank pivot bolt

11Attach the bellcrank to the spool valveReplace locknut
12Attach the pressure and sump lines to the valve housingRefer to Hose Routing Chart
13Coat the shoulder bolt with OMC Triple-Guard grease and attach the steering cable to the bellcrankReplace the locknut if you do not feel definite resistance to tighteningTorque the locknut to 10-12 ftIbs(14-16 Nm)14If removed, install the port and starboard lower engine coversInstall the hose support bracket to the starboard cover halfIf removed, secure the steering hoses every in(152 mm) with OMC Tie Straps, PIN 91006815Fill the steering reservoir with fresh OMC Power Trim!Tilt and Power Steering Fluid or GM Dexron "fluid and install the dipstick16Remove the emergency stop switch cap and operate the starter while turning steering wheel from lock to lock
