1Place casing guide through handlePush insert into casing guideInsert cable into guide and secure with screw and locknutTorque screw to 60-80 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
2Install spring washer, then plastic washer in housingLubricate bushing and install in shift leverBe sure cable trunnion is in pocketSecure shift lever with screw and washerTorque screw to 25-35 inIbs(2,8-4,0 Nm)3Place spacer between the two housing halves and secure halves with screwsTorque screws to 60-80 inIbs(7-9 Nm)
4Check that remote control operates freelyAny binding could cause remote control to jam when cables are attached to the motor5Install the remote control in the boatPort Installation For port side installation, assemble control in mirror image of Starboard Installation assembly proceduresIf your repair includes moving the controls from starboard installation to port installation (or the reverse), you must reposition the idle stop adjustment components to the opposite end of the housing
