Failure to follow assembly instructions closely could result in remote control malfunction, causing sudden and unexpected loss of throttle or shift control1Apply CIVIC Moly Lube grease to the four detent leaf springs and detent roller Install them
2Apply CIVIC Moly Lube grease to all surfaces of the drive gear Install drive gear and neutral lock ballEngage the detent roller in the detent notch
3Apply CIVIC Moly Lube grease to the gear teeth, switch ramp, and bore of the shift lever Install shift lever, engaging the gear teeth with the teeth on the drive gear
4Install the cam plate
5Install cam plate screws and nutsReplace any nut that has lost its locking actionTorque screws to 24-36 inIbs(3-4 Nm)
6Install driveshaftPosition the curved side driveshaft toward the trunnion pockets, as shown
Apply CIVIC Moly Lube grease to the bore and sliding surfaces of the throttle leverInstall throttle lever
