1Place starter in positionApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of two aft starter bracket screws and installTorque to 14-16 ftIbs(19-22 Nm)2Place solenoid and bracket in positionApply OMC Nut Lock to threads of bracket screws and install with ground strapTorque to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)3Apply OMC Nut Lock to threads of front starter bracket screw and installTorque to 14-16 ftIbs(19-22 Nm)Connect solenoid to starter cable and apply OMC Black Neoprene Dip to the connection4Place air silencer assembly in positionApply OMC Nut Lock to screws and installTorque to 60-84 inIbs(7-9 Nm)5Connect battery cables to the battery
