Propeller Shaft Bearing Housing Service
1Remove the seal using QVIC Puller Bridge, PIN 432127, and QVIC Small Puller Jaws, PIN 432131Position the plate on top of the housing to support the bridge, and tighten the jaws securely behind the seal
INotellnspect bearings in placeIf bearing is removed for any reason, it must be discarded
2Remove either bearing using QVIC Puller Bridge, PIN 432127, and QVIC Large Puller Jaws, PIN 432129Rest the puller plate on top of the housing to support the bridge, and tighten the jaws securely behind the bearing3Discard the bearing housing a-ringClean the housing and bearings in solvent, and dry thoroughlyIf bearings were not replaced, rotate the needles with your fingers to check for freedom of movement4Inspect a-ring groove, and sand off any sharp edges that would cut the a-ring and prevent its sealingCheck for and remove any nicks or burrs on front surface of bearing housingV4Thoroughly clean the threads of the four bearing housing retaining screwsDiscard the retaining screws' seals
