V6Remove bearing retaining ring on top of the pinion bearing using long-handle needle-nose pliers such as Snap-on No911CP, or equivalent
If the pinion bearing must be replaced, assemble as shown from OIVIC Universal Pinion Bearing Remover and Installer, PI 391257:
